With money being tight after the closure of the agency, I had a thought of trying to recreate meals that i would normally go out to eat at lunch. One specifically is my weakness for hamburgers. First of all, most fast food burgers just don’t taste very good to me anymore and the places where I do like the burgers are either too expensive or take too long to get to and back again.
My wife picked up frozen hamburger patties at the store that were reduced fat (so they were little more healthy for me). I slapped one of those on our Ninja Grill and dropped some fries in our Ninja Multi-Pot that has an air fry function. 10 minutes total and I perfectly grilled burger patty. I still had a few minutes to go on the fries in the air fryer so I put my hamburger bun on the grill to toast it and added a cheese slice to the burger to melt while I was waiting. I sliced up a tomato, some lettuce, and a onion and proceeded to build the burger.
In about 15 minutes I had a burger comparable to what you would get a sit down restaurant with a decent amount of perfectly crisp French fries. If had gone out it would have taken me longer to get some where, order the food, and get back home in the amount of time it took for me to make and eat the meal I had. I definitely think I’m on to something here and it actually brought me a little bit of happiness to enjoy this lunch time meal today.
