It’s been a few days since I’ve had to time to actually sit down and do some online therapy. Work has been very busy as of late. I have setup and implemented a new game plan but it’s taking up a lot of my free time and when my day is over I don’t really want to be in front of the computer anymore. I’m hopeful that this week will be a better process and I will be able to get a lot accomplished but still not push myself towards a burn out.
In other news, my dog is likely days from crossing over the rainbow bridge as they say. She’s stopped eating, she getting cold to the touch, and barely moves anymore. After 13 years it’s hard to see her like this. She was the first pet for the new house because my daughter reminded me just before we moved in, I had promised her a dog once we had a house. She immediately became a member of this family and like any family member, it is hard to say goodbye when you know the end is near.
I did find a new joy when I do have some free time. An old mobile game I used to play called Star Trek Fleet Command was ported over to the PC and now I am able to play it like any other game on my computer which allows me the ability to decompress and relax. Being the trekkie that I am, it something I am very grateful for.
I also ordered a new book from Amazon from one my mentors, Dr. Ivan Misner. If you are not familiar with Dr. Misner, he is the founder of BNI, Business Networking International. This was a group I got involved in when I had my agency and I find the tactics and information I received on business networking to be invaluable. I continue to put much of it into practice today but I’m always wanting to learn more, even though I’m no longer part of the chapter. This book is about networking with the 4 C’s and I hope to continue to learn a lot from it.
So here’s hoping the coming work week is not as stressful as it has been and will move by quickly and be uneventful.
